I've been on both sides of the UK job market - as a refugee looking for work without a network, and as a recruiter who sees what happens on the other side of the screen.

‍

I arrived in the UK in 2022 with years of experience behind me and no idea how the system here worked. I had no network, no UK track record. I was told more than once that a corporate role wasn't realistic. I disagreed — and eventually proved it.

What I've learned is that the barriers aren't about talent. They're about access - knowing how UK hiring actually works, how to present your experience, how to get in front of the right people.

The women I meet through this work are talented, resilient, and driven. Every one of them deserves work that reflects who they actually are. That's why SHE GETS HIRED exists.

Is the community free?
Yes, completely free to join.
Do I need refugee status to join?
No. SHE GETS HIRED is open to all migrant and refugee women in the UK - whatever your visa status or background. If you've moved to the UK from another country and are rebuilding your career here, you belong.
Where are you based?
SHE GETS HIRED is an online community, open to women across the whole of the UK.
How do I join?

Can an employer sponsor my place on a programme?
Yes - if your employer would like to fund your place on our upcoming structured programme, please get in touch at yulia@shegetshired.com and we'll share the details.
